Community champions celebrated at Outstanding Women Achievers awards

Heroes of the female variety, or She-Roes as they are now called, took home eight awards for outstanding contributions to their community.

The Innisfil Indian Association (IIA) proudly celebrated remarkable women at its inaugural Outstanding Women Achievers Awards, held during the second annual She-Roes Gala on Saturday.

The IIA is a not-for-profit dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity and is committed to promoting inclusion and representation.

Recipients were selected through a nomination process and were honored at Innisfil Town Hall for their outstanding contributions to the community.

2025 Outstanding Women Achievers awards honourees:

  • Educational Excellence – Christine Baker
  • Entrepreneurship Excellence – Sub Rasanathan
  • Arts & Culture Leadership – Angela Aujla

  • Community Impact Champion – Myrlene Boken
  • Trailblazer of the Year – Cheraldean Duhaney
