Barrie to see warmest week of year so far as temperatures heat up

Barrie is heading into what’s shaping up to be the warmest week of the year so far, offering daytime highs well above seasonal norms.

According to Environment Canada, temperatures can expect to reach the mid-to-upper teens throughout the week, with Tuesday and Friday topping out around 18 C.

Showers are expected to taper off late Monday morning, leaving behind cloudy skies with temperatures reaching 16 C.

The national weather agency says Tuesday brings one of the warmest days of the week, with showers ending late in the morning and a mix of clouds and possible afternoon rain. The high is expected to reach 18 C.

Midweek conditions look considerably mild. Wednesday could see cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of rain and a high of 15 C, followed by periods of rain overnight.

Environment Canada says Thursday continues the cloudy trend, with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 15 C.

The week wraps up on a warm note Friday. A mix of sun and cloud is expected, along with another 18 C day.
