A quick-witted victim of an alleged robbery helped police catch a suspect.
Barrie Police Service arrested a Barrie man after an alleged robbery on Collier Street, east of Clapperton Street.
The victim reported the robbery just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, saying the man was armed with a knife.
Police found the 33-year-old man within minutes of the call; however, no weapon was located.

Police commend the victim of the crime, indicating the victim got away from the assailant, called police and then monitored him to send the police to his location.
The man has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear Wednesday, by video, for a bail hearing with the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie.
