A teenager is in trouble after running his vehicle into a snowbank.
Provincial police were called to Tansley Street and Wansbrough Way in Shelburne after a report of a car colliding with a snowbank Friday at 5 a.m.

After speaking with the young driver, police believed the teen to be impaired.
An 18-year-old Shelburne man was charged with impaired driving charges, as well as being a novice driver with blood/alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams per 100 milliletres of blood.
The young man is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. His driver’s licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
