Man and woman arrested for alleged possession of cocaine in P.E.I.

A 56-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were arrested for possession of cocaine and a replica handgun in Lennox Island, P.E.I., on Tuesday.

Officers arrested the unnamed pair for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, according to an RCMP news release.

Police searched a residence and seized:

• 43.98 grams of cocaine
• 172 oxycodone tablets
• a replica handgun
• many edged weapons
• cash
• cellphones

The accused will appear in court at an undisclosed date.
