Shooting in Dartmouth that left 3 injured not believed to be random: police

Halifax Regional Police says three people were shot in Dartmouth, N.S., Monday night.

Three people were injured in a shooting in Dartmouth, N.S., Monday night.

Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call and an injured person at an address on Ruben Court around 11:35 p.m.

Officers found a man and two women who had been shot.

The three victims were taken to hospital. Police have not released their ages.

Police say none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police have not said whether they are looking for a suspect, though they do not believe the shooting was random.

They say they do not have any further updates to provide at this time.

The investigation is in the early stages.
