Two school districts in Nova Scotia are closed Thursday due to a messy mix of snow and rain.
All classes in the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education and Strait Regional Centre for Education are cancelled.
St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, N.S., had a delayed opening until 10 a.m. Classes will resume at 11:30 a.m.
Nova Scotia Community College’s Strait Area Campus and Wagmatcook Learning Centre are closed.

A snowfall warning remains in place for all of Cape Breton Thursday morning.
Environment Canada says total amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected before ending by noon.
More snow and ice will make its way to the region Sunday night and Monday.
CTV Atlantic meteorologist Kalin Mitchell says northern and central areas of New Brunswick are at the greatest risk of an extended period of snowy, icy weather.
Heavy rain is also possible for parts of southern New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

The Nova Scotia RCMP said at 9 a.m. Thursday that Highway 105 near Exit 17 in Groves Point was reduced to one lane due to a tractor-trailer blocking the roadway.
“Roads are snow covered and slippery in the area. Please drive with caution,” it said in a post on social media.

Both lanes reopened around 10:45 a.m.
The Halifax Regional Municipality said at 7 a.m. crews were clearing snow and applying de-icing materials to streets and sidewalks.
