A man has died after a truck and tractor-trailer collided in Nova Scotia’s Lunenburg County Friday morning.
Lunenburg County District RCMP, firefighters and paramedics responded to the two-vehicle collision on Highway 103 in East Chester, N.S., shortly after 11 a.m.
When they arrived on scene, police say both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
Investigators believe the black Dodge RAM and tractor-trailer were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.
The driver of the Dodge – a 51-year-old man from Hammonds Plains, N.S. – died at the scene.
Two people in the tractor-trailer were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
Highway 103 was closed in both directions between exits 6 and 7 Friday. Police have not said whether that section of highway has reopened. CTV News has reached out to the RCMP for an update.
