RCMP charge Cape Breton man with drug trafficking

Nova Scotia RCMP has charged a man with drug trafficking after executing a search warrant at a home in Eskasoni.

Officers searched the home on Logan Drive in relation to an ongoing investigation around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

During the search, police say they seized:

  • Cocaine
  • Cash
  • Cellphones
  • scales
  • other items used in the production and distribution of cocaine

The RCMP charged Stephen John Sylliboy, 71, of Eskasoni with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 6.
