Owner says Health and Wellness Centre in Fall River, N.S., ‘is a place where they like to give back’

A new wellness centre in N.S. is inviting people to take their health into their own hands.

A new health and wellness centre is open in Fall River, N.S.

My Own Path Health and Wellness is a supplement shop, coffee and smoothie bar, fitness centre and veterans’ assistance consultation service.

Owner Julianno Scaglione said it’s a place where they like to give back.

“I personally don’t draw any money from this company,” Scaglione said. “The money from the company goes back into business development or we give it to community matters.”

The veterans’ services at My Own Path are absolutely free. They include help with Veterans Affairs and paperwork.

“We help connect them to different services and companies to help them with their post-service journey,” Scaglione said.

My Own Path employs younger people because Scaglione said mentorship was an important part of his military career. The supplements they sell come from Canadian companies.

 “They’re tested products and we know if they’re safe and effective,” he said.

Scaglione said the atmosphere at the wellness centre is built on a foundation of respect.

“We want our clients to feel like they are part of this just as much as we are.”
