N.S. RCMP ends alert after arresting suspect in Yarmouth

The Nova Scotia RCMP has ended an emergency alert for Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby after arresting a 30-year-old man who they believed was armed and dangerous.

Police issued the alert for Christian Lasaga on Friday evening and later said they had safely arrested him.

“Officers remain in the area to investigate,” a statement from the RCMP reads. “Residents may resume normal activities. Thank you for your support.”
