A man has been taken into custody after allegedly barricading himself inside a Cole Harbour, N.S., apartment overnight.
RCMP were called to the 1100 block of Cole Harbour Road early Sunday. Police said a negotiator was called in to assist.
“Officers have evacuated some residents of the building while others have been asked to shelter in place as a precaution,” police shared on social media.
“There is no threat to anyone outside the building at this time.”
People were asked to avoid the area while officers were on scene.
Just before 4 a.m. Sunday police said the man was taken into custody. Police did not say whether any charges will be laid.
