N.S. man wanted on provincewide arrest warrant for assault with weapon

A Little Brook, N.S., man is wanted on a provincewide arrest warrant.

Meteghan RCMP Detachment says 28-year-old Jamie Jovite Belliveau is facing charges of:

• two counts of assault with weapon
• two counts of assault
• theft
• flight from police
• resist/obstruct peace officer
• dangerous operation of motor vehicle
• two counts of failure to comply with release order

Police describe Belliveau as five-foot-10 and 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. They say he may be driving a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck with Nova Scotia licence plate FZH 634.

“Police have made several attempts to locate Belliveau and are requesting assistance from the public,” reads a news release from Nova Scotia RCMP.

Police are asking anyone with information on Belliveau’s whereabouts to call the Meteghan RCMP Detachment at 902-645-2326 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
