From injured eagles to rescued raccoons, the Hope for Wildlife TV series is back with a brand-new season that gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the work the centre does in Seaforth, N.S., and introduces a new generation of caregivers.
“Hope for Wildlife: The Next Generation” season 11 premiered Tuesday night.
Hope Swinimer, the founder and director of Hope for Wildlife, says she still loves the title after all these years.

“Because our work here is really all about getting people involved and getting people interested … from young to old, but the next generation coming up needs to be aware and get involved in this,” she told CTV Atlantic’s Mike Lamb.
“I think it really shows how many young people are interested in this world.”
Swinimer was on her own when she first launched the organization in the 1990s and says it has since grown to more than 250 people.
She says she gets asked “all the time” when she plans to retire.
“I never want to leave this world, I truly love it. I’ll do it for as long as I can do it, but so much I’ve been able to delegate and give sections to because it’s grown so much, there’s no way that that isn’t needed,” she says.
“If I was to leave tomorrow, Hope for Wildlife would continue on because we have so many wonderful people.”
“Hope for Wildlife: The Next Generation” airs on Cottage Life Television.
Previous seasons can also be purchased through Hope for Wildlife’s online gift shop.
