Police confirm man found badly injured in Dartmouth, N.S., was shot

Halifax police are investigating a shooting in the Burnside Industrial Park.

Police have confirmed a man who was found badly injured in the Burnside area of Dartmouth, N.S., Thursday morning was shot.

Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured man near Wright and Garland avenues around 11:06 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

“Police do not believe the man was shot at the location he was found and do not believe the incident was random,” said police in a news release Thursday afternoon. “The investigation is ongoing.”

There have been no arrests at this time.
