The Halifax Mooseheads dropped their final game of the regular season 3-2 in a shootout loss to the visiting Charlottetown Islanders at the Scotiabank Centre Saturday afternoon.

Alexis Aulenback was among the fans in attendance.

“We have been Flex-Pack ticket owners for two years now, so we’ve been to quite a few games,” said Aulenback.

It’s been a rebuilding year for the Herd but despite finishing near the bottom of the standings the team qualified for the playoffs.

“It was a very good year,” Aulenback said. “There were very fun games to watch. Many good outcomes for our Mooseheads players. It was a great year to be a fan,”

Despite the postseason around the corner, Aulenback is looking forward to the 2025. With a prime position in the upcoming QMJHL draft, he said fans expect to see their team move ahead in the standings.

“I think next year we have a really good possibility of being up there.”

Aulenback said the future looks bright and with another year of experience under their belts, the Mooseheads will look to make a deep playoff run.
