Marsman disappeared in 2022

Marsman was last seen on Feb. 24, 2022 in the Spryfield area of Halifax and reported missing to police on March 4, 2022.

He was 16 at the time.

Police initially said they had no reason to suspect foul play in his disappearance. However, police later determined his disappearance was suspicious.

Remains identified

Last week, Halifax Regional Police said human remains found last year have been positively identified as Marsman’s.

Investigators found the remains in September 2024. They were then sent to the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service for identification.

That month, police confirmed Marsman had been the victim of a homicide and the remains were believed to be his.

Investigation still open

Police say their investigation remains open.

They believe there are people who have information on the case who have not yet spoken them.

Halifax Regional Police is asking anyone with information about Marsman’s homicide to call them at 902-490-5020.
