Woman, 82, dead following collision with transport truck: N.B. RCMP

An 82-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash Saturday near Brockway, N.B.

RCMP responded to the collision on Route 3 around 12:30 p.m. Police said it appears a transport truck driver travelling north crossed the centre line and collided with a car travelling south.

An 82-year-old woman, who was driving the southbound car, and her passenger were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The woman later died.

The driver of the transport truck was also taken to hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.

Police said members of the Harvey Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist also attended the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
