Police in Saint John, N.B., are investigating after a report of projectiles hitting a moving vehicle. Arthur “Arty” Watson says he was driving in the Crescent Valley area of Saint John around 9 p.m. on Friday when his vehicle was struck. “I thought it was rocks at the time,” says Watson. “But when I did a further investigation, I realized it was pellets.” Watson was not physically injured. Damage to his vehicle includes a shattered window and what appears to be multiple pellet dents on the driver and passenger’s side door. Watson says the incident could’ve been worse, with one of the pellets hitting close to the driver’s side window. “This is really reckless behaviour and it needs to be addressed,” says Watson. Watson is a candidate in the municipal election for Saint John city council, but doesn’t believe his candidacy had anything to do with the incident.
