No injuries following house fire in Lepreau, N.B.

Nearly two dozen firefighters responded to a house fire Saturday in Lepreau, N.B.

Musquash Fire said crews were called shortly after 4:30 p.m. to a fire on Bentley Lane. The department responded with 23 firefighters, five engines and a heavy rescue unit.

Officials said mutual aid was requested from Eastern Charlotte Fire but crews were able to get the fire under control “very quickly,” so the extra help was called off.

All of the occupants were able to get outside before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

Ambulance New Brunswick and the RCMP also responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
