High-energy magic show rolls into Moncton, Halifax

The high-energy “Champions of Magic” show is coming to Halifax and Moncton later this month.

A magic show built around comedy and spectacle is coming to Moncton and Halifax later this month.

Champions of Magic” features four magicians with different styles, including Sam Strange.

“It’s covering quite a broad spectrum of magic,” he said in an interview with CTV News Atlantic’s Katie Kelly. “Anything from grand illusion to close up to sleight of hand on big sort of LED screens.

“There’s an escapologist who does sort of Houdini-style escapes.”

Strange has been with the show for more than a decade, watching it grow from small community centres in the United Kingdom to arenas.

“A lot of the magic is put on these big, large-scale screens so even if you’ve got seats a bit further back, you can still be very much involved in the action,” he said. “If you have any interest in magic, it’s the show for you.”

“Champions of Magic” will be at the Avenir Centre in Moncton on March 22 and the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on March 23.
