CTV News Vancouver Island’s approach to serving the island is directly inspired by its local viewers, advertisers and the communities it serves. Innovation, enthusiasm, and Vancouver Island pride are evident in every local news story and community partnership the station undertakes.
From our streetfront Victoria broadcast headquarters, CTV blankets the island, covering the news and reporting the stories that matter most to our viewers. The news team broadcasts five days a week, first at 4:30 p.m with ‘CTV News at 4:30', a fast-paced newscast that delivers local news, current local affairs, and the Sawatsky Sign-Off, followed by 'CTV News at 5,' a regional newscast anchored by Nafeesa Kareem. And if you missed the 4:30 p.m. broadcast, you can catch it again at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m..
An award-winning organization, CTV News Vancouver Island has been recognized provincially, nationally and internationally for its exceptional journalism and news reporting.
