A youth arrested last week for allegedly masturbating in front of a University of Victoria student has been taken into custody again for a sexual assault, according to police.
Investigators say a woman was running in the Cadboro Bay area around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when a youth riding a bike came up behind her, grabbing her buttocks as he rode past.
She called police, who found the youth in the area shortly after.
He was arrested and identified as the same suspect arrested Sept. 11 for exposing himself to a UVic student on a popular campus trail.
The youth faces one count of performing an indecent act for that incident, and faces charges of sexual assault and breach of an undertaking given by a judge in the latest case.
Police said they were also investigating similar incidents in the UVic area that may result in further charges against him.
The youth was taken into custody and made a court appearance Monday. He has since been released from custody.
