Medicine Hat, AB- The Victoria Royals registered the game’s opening two markers in a contest they controlled from start to finish to down the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-1 on Tuesday night.

The Royals flew out of the gate in the opening frame as the club outshot their opponents 16-8, with Dante Hannoun recording the period’s lone goal on the powerplay. Victoria’s Blake Bargar added to the lead when he registered the game winning marker in the middle stanza. The Royals received goals from Matthew Phillips, Tyler Soy, and Jared Dmytriw, into an empty net, in the third period. The Tigers’ lone tally was scored by Max Gerlach in the second stanza.
