Victoria police are investigating after a bomb threat was made against a business Saturday morning.
According to police, staff at the Mercedes dealership in the 2500-block of Government Street called police just after 9 a.m. after they received a call about a bomb being in one of their vehicles.
“The lot was searched with two explosive sniffing police dogs and as we kind of suspected it was a hoax and nothing was found,” Sgt. Glenn Vermette told CTV News.
Hillside Avenue between Government Street and John Street and Government Street between Hillside Avenue and Bay Street were shut down for about two hours as a precaution.
As the investigation unfolded the man in the photo was determined to be a person of interest in making the call, police say.
Officers would like to speak to him about the incident.
K9 police units and the Emergency Response Team also assisted with the investigation.

The scene was cleared by 11:30 a.m.
