A tourist died after falling overboard from a vessel off the coast of Tofino, the BC Coroners Service has confirmed.
The man was fishing on a 28-foot boat about eight miles off the coast when he went overboard.
He couldn’t be rescued in time to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead.
An investigation into exactly what happened is underway.
The tourist has not been identified.
