Mounties in Campbell River say someone has been terrorizing businesses in recent weeks and are asking for the public’s help in tracking him down.

On Oct. 15, the Campbell River Lodge on Island Highway reported being robbed by a man who produced a knife and demanded money from an employee, then fled on foot.

Then on Oct. 22, a man walked into the Big Rock Liquor Store, took out a knife and made off with money.

The man fled on foot but is believed to have entered a vehicle a short distance away.

Four days later, a man tried to rob the Jolly Giant convenience store on 7th Avenue, but fled before receiving any money.

No one was harmed in any of the robberies.

In all of the incidents, the thief was described as a man wearing dark clothing like a jacket or hooded sweater, sunglasses and gloves and was sometimes wearing a toque.

Mounties believe all the robberies are related and are asking anyone who recognizes the man seen in surveillance photos to contact them, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
