Police are searching for two suspects linked to a serious assault that left a man with multiple non-life threatening injuries last week.

The attack happened July 12 at around 5:30 p.m.

The 45-year-old victim was walking in the 10000-block of Victoria Road when two men got out of an older black vehicle.

They hurled verbal assaults at the man and things quickly turned physical.

The man suffered repeated blows from his attackers, who weren’t known to him, resulting in facial and chest injuries.

The suspects eventually ceased their attack and left the scene, and the man was taken to hospital in non-life threatening condition.

One suspect is described as a white man between 18 to 22 years old, 5’10”, 200 pounds with blond or dirt blond hair, a fully blond beard and wearing a black hat, possibly jeans and a faded blue shirt.

The other was reportedly between 16 to 20 years old, around 5’6” tall, 150 pounds with a clean shaven head and face, possibly wearing a blue coat and was in possession of a small black bat.

The suspect vehicle was described as a late 90s to early 2000s black truck, possible a Chevy Blazer, with a loud muffler.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
