Update: A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing and vehicle theft near Qualicum Beach.
According to police, the man was arrested on Friday.
He is scheduled to appear in Nanaimo Provincial court on Sept. 27.
Previous story: RCMP are searching for a man after he stabbed another man and stole his truck near Qualicum Beach early Wednesday morning.
There was a single-vehicle crash about two kilometres north of the Qualicum Beach exit on the Inland Island Highway around 4:20 a.m.
A motorist passing by stopped to help.
According to police, the Good Samaritan was stabbed and his truck was stolen.

Police located the white 2015 Chevrolet Silverado in Errington on Thursday.
