Two men were injured, one critically, after being struck by a car near a Victoria intersection late Thursday night.

The two pedestrians were in the 1600-block of North Dairy Road near Shelbourne Street just before 11 p.m. when they were hit.

Paramedics rushed both to hospital, and one of the victims was said to be in potentially life-threatening condition.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The intersection was closed for hours as officers from Victoria Police’s traffic section and collision reconstruction team investigated.

Police aren’t saying whether the driver was at fault, and no charges have been announced.

They’re reminding all road users to use caution when there are slick roads.
