Victoria police shut down a busy road in Quadra Village for several hours Saturday after someone reported seeing a bullet hole through the wall of their suite.

Kings Rd. from Quadra St. to Fifth St. was closed for up to six hours.

The Emergency Response Team was also called in to the 1000-block of Kings Rd.

A number of individuals were evacuated from the National Access Cannabis building, which has suites upstairs.

Police later determined the suspect wasn't inside the apartment.

"Through the course of the police incident it was determined that the male had left Victoria and was in Calgary," Const. Matt Rutherford told CTV News. "With the assistance of the Calgary police service, he was taken into custody that afternoon.”

Police were also called to a separate incident just a few blocks away.

VicPD dealt with a distraught man in the 2600-block of Blackwood Street.

They arrived at the address just after 7.am. after getting an abandoned 911 call.

The man was transported to hospital.
