Rainy, blustery weather is here for the next few days, but the systems lining up over the Pacific aren’t just ordinary lows.

The next front is sending tropical moisture and the remnants of Hurricane Oho on a track aimed at the Central Coast of B.C. So what does that mean for Vancouver Island? Rain, wind and moist, mild air to kick off the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Hurricane forecasters believe what’s left of Oho will pass west of Haida Gwaii as a deep low early Friday morning. Queen Charlotte Sound will likely experience the strongest winds although Vancouver Island will be gusty, too.

Here is the latest storm track showing Oho east of Hawaii:

The water vapour imagery shows that it’s likely we’ll experience an Atmospheric River through the weekend:

Rainfall and wind warnings could be issued for B.C.'s south coast this weekend.
