A 61-year-old man was arrested in Victoria after police learned he was allegedly planning to sexually abuse a child.
Victoria Police say officers from the Special Victims Unit were investigating for several months.
The man was arrested on Friday afternoon.
They accuse the man of arriving from out of province with the intention of abusing a five-year-old and say it was not a random event.
Police are recommending charges of making an agreement to commit a sexual offence against a child and making child pornography.
