Liberal Leader Christy Clark highlighted her government's record on helping business as she took her re-election campaign to the traditional NDP stronghold of Vancouver Island today.

During a stop at a helicopter company in Campbell River, Clark said she wanted to remind voters that her government has a successful economic record on the Island.

She says low commodity prices have complicated the recovery, but the unemployment rate is half of what it was under the last NDP government before the Liberals came to power in 2001.

Clark also has stops today in Comox, Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo.
