A Langford pot shop has been ordered to close its doors permanently after a judge ruled it contravened city bylaws by illegally selling and distributing marijuana without a business licence.

Green Tree Medical Dispensary on Granderson Road has five days to remove its signage and any marijuana or related products from the premises.

The shop was also slapped with fines and legal fees.

The owners must pay a $1,200 fine and $5,000 to the city of Langford to cover its legal costs.

The dispensary was raided by RCMP in January, but re-opened a month later.
