The Victoria School District is getting some new school supplies of its own as students prepare to head back to class next week.
Water fountains with upgraded filters will be installed after preliminary tests shows elevated lead levels at some Victoria schools.
The district says new filter systems will be installed in at least two of the highest-use fountains in every school, with the remainder upgraded on a priority basis through the fall.
The upgrades will also include staff rooms and all cooking facilities.
