The fight over a contaminated soil dump near Shawnigan Lake may not be over.

The company that runs the site, located about 25 kilometres north of Victoria, has filed an appeal after its permit was pulled last week.

The Ministry of Environment pulled the waste discharge permit after Cobble Hill Holdings failed to meet disclosure requirements on out-standing non-compliance issues.

A B.C. Supreme Court justice previously stayed the facility’s operating permit after it was found the environmental review board was not told the site’s technical assessment was done by an engineering company that had financial stakes in the proposed facility.
