People in Colwood were warned to use caution around Royal Roads University on Sunday after a bear was spotted on campus.
The university said a bear was seen near the Blue Heron House and by the waterfront.

People were encouraged to avoid the area, use the buddy system on campus and keep pets on a leash.
Staff tell CTV News BC Conservation officers were contacted about the sighting.
“Wildlife of various types is always on the campus, with larger species such as cougars and bears on occasion,” the university said in an email. “We ask students, staff and visitors to be aware when enjoying the campus.”
